- the principle that the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality and suitability of goods before a purchase is made.
Cav Empt, short for the Latin phrase Caveat Emptor, is a Japanese clothing brand started by and Toby Feltwell, formerly of Bape and Billionaire Boys Club, and the illusive designer, SK8Thing.

Featuring loud, vaporwave/retro graphics, and incredible oversized, boxy cuts, Cav Empt has established itself as a unique and influential brand. Highsnobiety writer Alex Leach said it best.
"Japanese fashion is notoriously eccentric, but what makes C.E a perennial, Highsnobiety favorite is how it balances obscure aesthetics with garments that are, at the end of the day, extremely wearable."
Most Cav Empt pieces feature their iconic red rubber stamp on the sleeve.
As CE has become more hyped and highly sought after, resell prices have increased substantially, and the pieces have become more exclusive, which I think makes the brand all the more powerful. Cav Empt has found its place in streetwear scene and fashion in general. Here are some pictures of my favorite CE pieces.
